Rus·so·phile play_w(“R0355700″)

 (rs-fl)

n.

An admirer of Russia or its people, language, or culture.

Russo·phili·a (-fl-) n.

It is not hard to become a Russophile, all you have to do is go over to Russia and live in a down to earth way, socialize with Russians, be a guest in a Russians home a couple of times, learn to see the people through the lens of their experiences, and keep an open heart.  Okay, so that sounded kind of complicated, but it’s not.  If you just wander the streets of Moscow and shop at the western markets and hang out at the expat night clubs, you won’t come down with the chronic Russophilia of which I speak.  If you don’t like the Russian people, it’s because you do not know them well enough.
